It’s been two months since my trip, and I can’t stop dreaming about Oahu, Hawaii. Maybe it’s the weather (not too cold and not too hot), or the chill vibe of the locals, but honestly, I truly believe it’s their magical beaches that will take your breath away.

So if you’re planning to go to the US soon, make sure you take a side trip to Oahu, Hawaii. Here are some beaches that you need to visit:

1.Eternity Beach

Located near the famous Halona Blowhole, is this pitstop named after the 1953 hit movie, “From Here To Eternity”. Since the film shot most scenes in this beach, tourists and locals visit this small beach area to sit back, relax, and have a couple of drinks. Personally, this is my second favorite beach in Oahu, since it’s secluded and pretty private. If you want some “alone” time with your loved ones, then you must check out this spot! However, if you’re not super adventurous, I wouldn’t recommended this for you, because the pathway to the beach is a bit steep, and it may not be suitable for little kids, too.

2. Sandy Beach

Would you believe that this beach is former President Obama’s favorite beach in Oahu? Well, you can’t blame him! Sandy Beach is a favorite among locals since it has strong currents and the beach itself has creamy golden sand. This location caters to both adventurous and relaxed travelers, because you can either surf or walk along the spacious shore line. Win win situation, right?

3. North Shore

Aaaah, the popular surfing spot in Oahu, has to be North Shore! If you enjoy surfing in La Union or Baler, then you must drive up to this beautiful surfing area. Plus, it’s surrounded with pretty hipster shops, restaurants, and cafes, so if you’re not into surfing you can still enjoy chilling!

4. Waikiki Beach

Picture this: it’s like the busy city of Makati with a neighborhood beach like Boracay. Yup, that’s the exact vibe of this place! What I love most about this area is because it’s accessible. I saw most locals tan or swim for a few minutes during their break time, then go straight to work after. So if your airbnb or hotel is located within the area, Waikiki is your go-to beach. If you plan to visit the beach during your stay, make sure you go early because the beach tends to be super crowded during the afternoon.

5. Lanikai Beach

This has to be the best beach I’ve ever seen! I mean, I love Palawan and Boracay so much, but Lanikai is beyond magical. I think it’s because the place is very clean and it’s very spacious. So if you want some private beach time with your family, this beach is for you. Plus, the water is crystal clear and the sand is more fine than sugar. So make sure you visit this beach, asap!

There you have it! Those are my top five favorite beaches in Oahu, Hawaii. Have any other beaches to recommend? Let us know! Send us a message on Facebook, or follow us on Instagram!
