Aside from going out of town for the weekend, why not pay a visit to the historical city of Manila? It’s the best place for you to see since there are so many beautiful heritage sites that you and your family can enjoy. Plus, it’s good to revisit those areas with your friends or family since it can serve as the best bonding time with them. So check out our list below, and enjoy your cool field trip.

1. Learn new things at the National Museum of Natural History

Start your weekend with some appreciation on history! The National Museum of Natural History has just opened, and it is a great educational spot for both adults and kids. Since we’re used to seeing artworks like paintings and sculptures, this museum will be a unique experience since it focuses more on the scientific history of the Philippines.

2. Tour around the old city of Intramuros

4. Watch a play at CCP

Are you a fan of the arts? Then be sure you get to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Filipino culture through the Cultural Centre of the Philippines. Check their website: https://culturalcenter.gov.ph to see the list of shows they have for the month and be sure to make it on time. You can also check out their art exhibits at the top most floor to see different artworks from local artisans.

5. Have a picnic at Luneta Park

Want to experience something different? Why not go outdoors! Before the day ends, try having a picnic at Luneta Park, so you get to have a fun activity outdoors with your family. You can also ride a kalesa and explore the other historical statues and sights within the park.

6. Watch the sunset at Manila Bay

Manila Bay is known for the most beautiful sunsets of the Philippines! After touring the whole day in Manila, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sunset while exploring the strip of Roxas Boulevard. You can also grab a few snacks or street food within the area like sorbetes, fish ball, turon, and so on!
